It's been a while since we've heard from Name In Lights, who put out some killer material earlier in the decade before puzzlingly vanishing from view. Happily, the Stockholm-based trio's comeback EP on Omena is something of a treat. They serve up two evocative, emotion-rich original productions for our delectation. Firstly, there's the slow-burn melancholy of "All Inclusive", where heart-aching electronic melodies bubble away above a hypnotic, locked-in groove. Arguably even better is the exotic and intoxicating "Post Mortem", where mind-altering Arabian vocals seemingly soar above a glassy-eyed tech-house groove. Local Talk co-founder Tooli impressively turns that track into a floor-friendly chunk of 21st century electronic jazz-funk, while Samo DJ re-casts "All Inclusive" as an ear-pleasing slab of Balearic-minded digital dub.
