Review

We were thrilled to see this one appear in the release listings as In:Flux Audio make their welcome return alongside the truly unique sounds of Nekst, who steps forward for an explosive six track project. We begin with the title track 'Nekst Level', a neurotic bassline roller, driven by its skippy drum textures and sumptuous synth design. The neuro themes continue on 'Lab Notes' as powerful LFO movements come into play before we hit the final original 'Essex Street' which features a fantastic vocal appearance from Orla O'dwyer. On remix duty, Tik&Borrow send 'Nekst Level' to the stepper factory, Brent Kilner reworks 'Lab Notes'; into a bassline belter and Pavv uses his unique 2-steppy style to overhaul 'Essex Road' into a UKG inspired wobbler.
