Manchester-based deep house imprint 3am Recordings is set to celebrate 10 years in the game next year. Here, they rack up their 60th release with a atmospheric EP from Nick Devon. Lead cut "So Addicted" boasts a real late night flavour; all half-whispered spoken vocals (concerned, largely, with an addictive sexual relationship), delay-laden riffage and darkroom grooves. Label boss Al Bradley remixes, giving it a deeper, chunkier feel. "Nobody", meanwhile, throws some delicious old skool pianos and a smacked-out sample (a pitched-down take on a familiar house vocal) into the pot. The accompanying Pete Dafeet remix makes more of the druggy vocal, adding some of the Lost My Dog man's trademark touches for good measure.Get new release alerts
