Norbak has been prolific in recent years, releasing an album on Jeff Mills' Axis and a string of Eps for Pole, MindTrip and Soma. Now he returns to Mord, the label that put out Liberdade in 2021. The title track resounds to a clanging, steely rhythm and pounding kicks, with these elements acting as a backdrop for swirling textures. The mood is more subdued on "Retrato". While it retains a dance floor focus, at the heart of the arrangement is a throbbing bass and subtle layers of filtered percussion. "Chekhov's Gun" sees Norbak revert to a harder sound, deploying a stepping rhythm and clicking hi hats. "Ponto de Situa??o" is a pared back, Lost-style roller, led by doubled-up kicks.
