Room40 is Australia's answer to PAN here in Europe, and aside from comparisons and what not, the label have been seriously impressive for a while, and they should be given more credited than they have received. Norman Westberg is their knight in shining armour this week, weaving through the cracks with three powerful slices of electronic melancholia. "MRI" is an wide-eyed opener, the sort of music that could be heard in the opening to a film, while "410 Stairs" is calmer and more musical, and "Lost Mine" returns to the cavernous, languishing mood of the opener, making this a 360 degree journey from point A, to B, and back to A again. Fantastic stuff.
