On Hacker Wacker, Colin Lindo delivers a smart riposte to all those techno producers delivering washed out, pseudo-industrial self-indulgence. The title track is powered by rolling drums and sharp, broken beats, while cold, eerie bleeps loom underneath. "Vox & Cymbal" is just as memorable, with cavernous tones and a plunging acid line making way for a detached, drugged out vocal. A similar mood prevails on "2nd Chapter of 74", but the delivery is somewhat different as a wall of moody synths well up through the cracked rhythm. Finally, "Break the Rules" sees filters churn and twist, supported by heavy, reverberating claps.
