Review

For their latest foray into zeitgeist-bothering house territory, Disko404 have recruited Viennese duo Ogris Debris, last seen on Affine Records. In its original form, "Something Good" offers something new - house with the driving energy and relentless percussion of techno. The rhythm aside, all the current trends are present - pitched down vocals, US garage influenced stabs, fluid chords - making it a fresh take on a tried-and-tested formula. The bonus remixes offer something different, too, with Scratcha DVA turning in a deep and woozy fusion of post-dubstep rhythms (heavy on the bongos) and dreamy pads. The Clonius remix, meanwhile, is best described as "deep bass music" (or, if your prefer Disko404's press release, "future funk").
