Review
The O'Jays' 1972 proto-disco classic gets reworked for contemporary dancefloors by the mysterious Redux Inc crew, whose only previous release involved doing much the same thing to The Jacksons. It's a respectful remake that keeps the song structure essentially the same, but adds an electronic 4/4 kick, extends certain sections and, in others, gets busy (though not too busy) with the filters and FX. The end result is a mix that 50% of the floor probably won't even realise ISN'T the original, but that'll be a lot easier to programme/mix - and hey, the Christmas party season's coming up...Get new release alerts
