By this point, to expect anything conventional or remotely average from Om Unit is very much a mistake, with a rich catalogue of incredible creativity, he returns again for a sumptuous six track LP display entitled 'Flux'. We begin with the subtle, yet enthralling designs of 'Process', fusing rich pads with tidy sub work, before 'Angles' ups the pace with skippy, roller-like drum skips and heavenly chord progressions. Next, 'Ramp' provides us with a sped-up, garage-like skip-fest, before both 'Rubberneck' and 'Subway Track' give their own twists on a more typical techy sound. Finally, we move back into the realms of luscious sound-scaping that have become so synonymous with extended Om Unit drops as 'Autumn Shadows' again takes things back to the harmonic basics with a stunning display of sonic mastery.
