Operator follows his 2021 release on Mord with this hard-hitting selection. With a focus on the dance floor throughout, Spirits... explores club techno in its various shapes and forms. "Canopy" and "Hop Along Now" are tough club tracks, powered by tribal drums. "Watashi No Gyangu" sees him go deeper, as moody synths soar over a rolling rhythm. "Evasions" marks another shift, as an angular groove unravels over staccato kicks. "Bottom of the List" embraces dub influences, with dense textures set to a driving groove.
