Review
With releases from Patrick Skoog, The Persuader and Joel Mull already in its catalogue, Parabel can lay claim to being one of the most consistent European techno imprints. This split release will certainly do its reputation no harm. It starts with label regular Patrick Siech's contribution, "Astral Node", a sinister, swirling affair that sounds like what it feels to be sucked in to the centre of a black hole. Dino Sabatini's "Yabara" is just as moody; slower and stepping, it seduces the listener with its cavernous filters and dense tracts of percussion. Ritus pushes the release into Mike Parker mode with the pulsating tones of "A8", while Finnish techno wunderkind Samuli Kemppi closes the release with the detuned, droning tones of "Sirens".Get new release alerts
