Review
New York City's Lit City Trax are back with Chile's Paul Marmota at the reigns on this excellent full length. He has lived the last several years in the clubs/studios of Mexico City, but here presents the unique musical landscape of his native country: said to be alive with high levels of techno and hip hop spread throughout its underground music communities. Opening up with the bass heavy jam "Duro", there's then some hard edged (even slightly industrial) electronica on "Terra Incognita" while harder UK bass vibes merge with techno on "Resonancia" or "0619" but there are even trace elements of baile funk or reggaeton blended throughout. Marmota's way of hybridising all the aforementioned genres is what creates his singular vision and we think he's one to watch in 2018.Get new release alerts
