Paulo Olarte's clear-headed tech-house has earned him plenty of appearances on renowned European labels since the mid 00s and, as it's clear to see with this latest EP for Galaktika, quite a few remix favours too. Appearing only in a cameo role, Olarte's tunes have been re-crafted by a special sort of audience; Switchdance's version of "Solo Dejate Llevar" is a quirky, Eastern-minded house sketch with an dusty percussion swing and plenty of outsider sonics, whereas Sano's rework of "La Queen" is comparatively more dance-centric - but still wonderfully deep. Sau Poler's own take on "Solo Dejate llevar" is deeper and more mystical compared to Switchdance's version, but still tipped on that magic deep house swing, which leaves Dany F to drop our personal pick from the lot, a slow and Balearic revisioning of "No Puede Ser". You wanna make sure you've got these in the bag for any potential beach parties this summer. Particularly Dany F's version.
