Celebrating Livity's 60th release, label owner Peverelist releases a follow-up EP to last year's Phase. "Pulse IX" is a deep, melodic track. Led by rolling snares and outer space blips and bleeps, it has echoes of classic Transmat, making for Detroit techno via Bristol. "Pulse XI" sees Peverelist remain in dance floor mode - on this occasion, it's all about dubbed out filters and subtle percussive ticks. Shifting his focus, "Pulse Ten" is more in keeping with Peverelist's signature style - as a niggling acid line is teased out over a stripped back, stepping rhythm and steely drums . "Pulse XII" meanwhile is more laid back, as woozy synths unravel over tight, jumpy drums and a bouncy bass.Get new release alerts
