Philoxenia welcomes a new producer, Phase O'Matic, to its fold. Embracing the old school-influenced spirit that has defined the label's output to date, Futuro Primitivo is an enthralling trip through multi-dimensional techno. Powered by a combination of break beats, dramatic stabs, eerie vocal samples and tripped out acid, "Atomica" and "Euro Shock" are refreshingly colourful and unpredictable. "Pleasure Dome" is influenced by ebm, which is audible in its grinding rhythms, while "Upon Your Soul" sees Phase O'Matic take on electro influences, integrating rolling 808s with hardcore stabs and grimy electronic riffs.
