Piers Kirwan - formerly one-half of Stereo Mutants, and not to be confused with Swedish soulful house veteran Sir Piers - comes to the Bristol-based Boogie Cafe label with a pleasingly diverse five-tracker here. 'Garden Of Life' itself starts us off in sweet and soulful territory (think Physics, Ananda Project) before we drop down into a killer bumpin' garage groove on 'Dream On'. 'Heartbeat' then takes us into broken beat pastures, 'Mariana' is a shufflin', jazzy affair with a treated male vocal while closer 'Paper' brings more bruk beats and a rap vocal.
