Parisian nut-job Pushy has undergone another stylistic makeover with this fourth outing for the Kiosk imprint, going from punchy, above the line dubstep to much headier and more cerebral bass territories. This new album, Resealution, is an eccentric and constantly shape-shifting listen, where Pushy manages to make 10 tracks of something that touches just about every different strain of the musical species. "Resealution" itself is a manic groove filled with all sorts of percussion bric-a-brac and, while many of these tunes seem to experiment with different styles and influences, Pushy makes sure to hero the more seductive side of bass too. Tunes like "Love You" and "Mageik" verge onto r&b territories thanks to suave basslines and sleek vocals samples, a skill which our man Pushy clearly doesn't lack.Get new release alerts
