Review
Quantum Soul, aka producer Guy Chambers, describes his productions as "mystical soundscapes". There's certainly something a bit mystical about "Strong Root", which features the distinctive vocals of veteran trip-hop chanteuse Louise Rhodes of Lamb fame. Her breathy vocals fit perfectly over Chambers' snappy dubstep beats, deep atmopsherics and intricate musical flourishes. Flipside "Rolling Thunder" takes a different tack, going all dubwise and steppy - all delay-laden organ stabs, low-end wobble and titanium-clad beats, still managing to sound deep depite its undeniable ferocity.Get new release alerts
