Review

The German producer is the latest artist to feature on the Absurd spin-off label, but both of his tracks may surprise fans of Acid Test. The title track is a deep and introspective affair, with melodies graudally unravelling over an understated, off-beat rhythm. "Undulate" meanwhile is slightly more upbeat; the same wide-eyed, fragile melodic flourishes prevail, but the groove is straighter and the bass pulses hinting at a slightly darker possbility. That world materialises on the Lawrence dub of "Undulate", with the Dial man dropping snappy percussion and and tough, dubby beats. However, it quickly fades out of sight again on Lawrence's second version, where the melodies are reconstructed over a techy groove.
