Following releases for Dark Entries, Phantasy Sound and K7, Red Axes drop this fine, tripped out release for Shall Not Fade. Drawing on ebm and post-punk influences while guided by techno and house music's rhythms, the duo deliver, the squelchy acid of "The Electric". "Next One Is Bill" also contains 303 bleeps, but the arrangement's real focus is on freaked out vocal samples. In contrast, the buzzing tones of "The Bee" centres on a funk bass and live, dusty drums, while "Axes In The Sky" is a soft-focus slice of dreamy disco, led by swirling filters and a driving, insistent groove.Get new release alerts
