Review

Back with a second edition as quick as their first, Reptile Mob returned in top form for the second edition of their 'REPWIND' series, unloading five more heavyweight garage weapons. We begin with Groovy D, an obvious high flyer within the UKG space, who delivers a dancefloor-ready bop in 'Outta My Mind', focussing on smooth sub work, before Highrise arrives for a follow up addition entitled 'Break Down', giving us some serious nostalgic flavour. From here, Dubplate Pressure arrives for a synth laden slink through choppy drums and moody LFO's on 'The Outlaw, with Duskope & Jay Ward's 'Way You Love' following up with moody synth designs and classic UKG samples all working in tandem. Finally, DJ Crisps gives us a more broken-beat chopper named 'I Believe', focusing on euphoric vocal displays to close the EP out in style.
