Review
After two debut releases for the Ancient Monarchy label, the UK-leaning cousin of Berceuse Heroique, it was about time that Rhythmic Theory branched onto other labels and ventured new horizons. Idle Hands from Bristol is as far as the artist is willing to go for the moment, but it seems like a fitting destination nonetheless. Many 'bass' labels and artists seem to have gone 'ambient' these days, but this particular release by RM is both fresh and interesting. Throughout the seven segments of sound, the artist manages to make sense of the beatless moments, wrapping subsequent tunes with beats into its abstractions.
