Ricardo Tobar lands on Sven Vath's mighty Cocoon brand with an LP after previous appearances on the likes of Border Community. This isn't a house or techno album per se but rather ten tracks of percussion-driven electronica; a breath of fresh air in a back catalogue dominated by clean and effective DJ tools. In fact, this is probably the most experimental thing that we've ever heard on the label, where tracks like "Brittle", "Pasaje" or "Red Light" contain a truly lo-fi edge not usually associated to Vath's more direct vision of club music. Walls of loose percussion meet airy landscapes of sound with a totally abstract edge, the grooves barely held together in rhythmic chunks.
