Cocoon has put Rico Puestel in charge of its latest release. With over 100 tracks to his credit, it looks like a very shrewd piece of A&Ring on the part of Sven Vath's label. The title track is a driving filtered house affair, with a heavy bass navigating its way through the soupy textures. "Enokid" is radically different - whether or not the title is a reference to the great ambient producer is unclear - but it's a highly effective minimal workout. Revolving around a repetitive, pinprick tone, it rides a stripped back, woozy rhythm, resulting in a mesmerising - and highly distinctive - techno track.
What is Album Only?
Some artists and labels prefer certain tracks to be purchased as part of an entire release. These tracks cannot be purchased individually but are available to download as part of the release
