Burlington's Ryan Kick (Hustle & Flow/Northwest Connection) is up next on Mancunian deep house institution Paper Recordings. They claim 'Looking Back' harks back to the old school sound of the label, when deep house was actually deep house - and we concur! There are nods to Chicago, Detroit and NYC throughout this one: from the sensual deepness of "All That We Do", to the low slung and hypnotising energy of "NYC" or the looped-up old school vibe of "Remember" (Jack mix) - the label was spot on when they claimed that this release was keeping it real!Get new release alerts
