Review
Exploding on to the scene seven years ago, seemingly from out of nowhere, Frankfurt's Sascha Dive helped usher in a new sound internationally, as minimal was on its way out. On his Deep Vibes imprint he quickly became renowned for his tracky and percussive DJ tools influenced by '90s US house. Fast forward to now he's still around and still riding a wave of success if this release on the Sven Vath's massive Cocoon label is anything to go by. "Werewolf" is a driving peak time tech house number with its buzzing razor sharp melody backed by rolling bass and thunderous rhythm section. Secondly we have "Into The Woods"with its sombre yet epic strings most notable about it, supporting equally as powerful elements like the previous track. There's a certain Detroit influence on these. Matter of fact, you could imagine them being played by the likes of Derrick May.
