Scottish producer Andy Graham delivers two killer cuts for the Kompakt sub-label Speicher. The air raid siren on "Hawk Tone" is in keeping with Speicher's love of all things raucous and unruly, but the backdrop is different to the norm. While many Speicher records are unabashed in their dance floor intentions, "Tone" shuffles - albeit in a somewhat rougher manner - in a style more commonly associated with Kompakt itself. "Play My Mind" opts for a similar approach, but the mood is trippier, with distended vocals building against the backdrop of stabbing chords. Sei A has made a record that manages to straddle both sounds.
