Hot on the heels of its recent tenth year anniversary compilation comes the latest killer EP on Break New Soil. The work of Thibault Morel aka Seroplexx, it's a tough, underground techno affair; the title track is a heads down, warehouse track that sounds inspired by Jeff Mills minimal sounds. On "Cassoulet", Morel ups the tempo and throws in a repetitive, grinding riff that unravels over insistent hi hats. In stark contrast is "Please", where the French artist delivers a deep rolling groove that has echoes of the output from 90s house labels like Paper and 20/20 Vision - but it's only a temporary divergence, and "Folded" closes out the release in tough, bleep-heavy mode.
