Review
It's now time to dive into some potent new school funky, as Sheik lands on Sapyens for two wicked original recordings, showcasing exactly where the funky scene is at and why we need to pay attention. The title track 'Lion Mountain' is a percussion-heavy roller, backed by tripletted bell percussion and moogy bass tones below, bringing moody energy from the start. The flip side then gives us 'In Or Out', a more high tempo puncher, driven by arpeggiated melodies and crispy drum switches. We are then joined for two very exciting remixes as Geist get's busy with his crunchy bass heavy refix of 'Lion Mountain', followed by Kouslin's futuristic bashment overhaul of 'In Or Out'.
