Review
Toolroom goes back to the late '90s for its latest release. The title track is a filter-heavy affair, its tracky rhythm led by an insistent filter and a repetitive vocal sample looped to infinity. It's simple and yet deadly effective, recalling the sound of Roule. Meanwhile, "Smash the Disco" is more over the top; a similar rhythm prevails, but the duo use dramatic synths, pitched down vocals and the sound of an air raid siren going off to achieve maximum dance floor impact.
