It's a real shame that almost two years have passed since Sophia Loizou's last LP, the excellent work that she did for Astro:Dynamics, because we are all about this kind of ambient music, the sort of loose, beetles yet rhythmic drone that takes on a new life with each subsequent listen. Singulacra is perhaps even more special than her debut, and it took a fine label like Kathexis to make this happen. Tunes like "The Voices Of Time" are so wondrous and dense that our minds create motion to compensate for the lack of beats, and this applies to most tunes on here, particularly ones like "Order Of Elements", or the sublime and shivery "Silver Nemesis".
