Italy's Stefano Greppi is no newcomer to stripped-down tech-house beats, and the producer's tunes date back to the late noughties, a time when minimal was just beginning to dissolve, and and house came back into the ears of the dancers. He's up on Goldmin this time, and he's come armed with a new album entitled Manhattan. As you'd expect from Greppi, this is deep and luscious house music that carries you away into the night, and will still have you up by midday. "Maenad" and "Grullo" are among our favourites here, not least because of their eerie, contained groove that simply punishes on the dance floor. Wonderful.
