Review
Supreems debuted on Lobster Theremin back in 2016, and this follow up shows why the upcoming producer is so deserving of our attention. It starts with the title track, a widescreen break beat-led affair, full of lush pads, sensuous strings and the occasional, blissed out vocal sample. "Broken (And Out Of Sync)" is also based on loose breaks and atmospheric undercurrents, but this time Supreems adds some warbling acid lines. However, his default approach here is to focus on deeper sounds, demonstrated on the reflective Carl Craig circa Landcruising "When Two Souls Reach". Rounding off this exemplary release is "Stream Of Consciousness". The only dance floor based track on the release, it's a warm affair that takes the listener on a journey to Larry Heard style deep house nirvana.Get new release alerts
