Review

Tafkamp returns to Paling Trax with a collection of ghetto-inspired jams. As its title suggests, "Twerk Dat Shit" is a stripped back banger with a clear invitation to the dance floor, while on "Drive Me Crazy", Tafkamp deploys call-and-response vocal samples over an insistent groove and deft snare rolls. "Pumping Bass" is laden down with expletive bleeps that unravel over robust break beats, while "XTC People" sees Tafkamp opts for a more soulful approach, using soulful vocals against the backdrop of an irresistible, jacking track. "Sendwich" is a tougher, peak time version of the Grand Pubahs' late 90s classic, before Tafkamp brings the house down with the chord-heavy banger, "Why U Wanna Playa Hate?"
