John 'Jellybean' Benitez welcomes the CombiNations to his Jellybean Soul imprint, with the decidedly summery "Mulebone". In its original "Club Mix" form, "Mulebone" is a breezy combination of prominent, chanted West African vocals, shuffling, tech-tinged low-end rhythm and a smattering of chords and twinkling pianos. It's sparse but effective, and certainly catchy. There's a strong package of accompanying remixes, from the space, swinging percussion of the delightfully stripped-back "Afro Mix", to the jazzy guitar solos and sun-kissed bump of the "Tropical Nights Mix".
