Review

Lucky number seven... Over the course of almost two decades The Herbaliser have traversed the muddy confines of triphop, dabbled with big band swing and flaunted all styles of live funk via their Sessions albums. One thing that's remained consistent in their work is their love for crate digging and an old school hip-hop ethos, which we can hear in spades on this latest album. Eschewing the well-polished vibes of Same As It Never Was, this is a return to their roots with all manner of deeper flavours, spooky samples and an altogether rustier blend. Old and new fans alike should fall for this. In fact many would argue it's their best long player since Blow Your Headphones.
