Originally a limited, cassette-only release via fellow Canadian Eddie C's Red Motorbike, the Parisian label Circus Company presents The Mole's latest album for the first time digitally. The River Widens is a collection of 21 works that tick all the boxes, covering a wide range of moods and grooves, many of them quite short in length with the exception of some extended tracks streamlined for the dancefloor. Ones such as the hypnotic beatless disco of "New Family", the late night mood music of "Repepepater" (feat Joli B) in particular gets deep, through to the quirky microgroove of "Ufos Over Egypt" (feat Cristobal) or the breathtaking and glassy-eyed ambient of closer "Being A Total Warm Up" are just some of many choice selections.
What is Album Only?
