Remarkably, 20 years has now passed since Swedish producer Tiger Stripes made his debut on NYC imprint Nite Grooves. The fantastically (and accurately titled) 'I Heard It Through The Bassline' is one of his most infectious and enjoyable singles for years - thanks in no small part to the killer combination of booming double bass loops, sweat-soaked jazz-house drums, and judiciously placed vocal samples. He opts for a deeper and dreamier - but no less bass-heavy - vibe on bonus cut 'Everybody's Doing It', peppering a deep, restless bassline and locked-in house beats with woozy sampled vocal loops, twinkling synth sounds and the deepest of electric piano chords.Get new release alerts
