Review

Peter Lansky aka TML comes from the US, but as his debut release for Hotflush shows, he is influenced heavily by UK dance music. From the dreamy, hardcore-refencing opener "Face Pads", to the stepping "Strainer" -although admiteddly it does sample US police sirens rather British ones - to the 90s techno abstractions of "Code Library", No Memory, in spite of its title, suggests that Lansky has soaked up most UK electronic music reference points of the past 25 years. This is most evident on the release highlight, "Crying"; centred on rumbling break beats, its euphoric stabs and ectatsic vocals sound like a thowback to the second summer of love.
