Having previously proved a bit of a hit on Greco-Roman, synth-pop/rave fusionist Orlando Higginbottom has been snapped-up by major label imprint Polydor. "Tapes & Money" has the sound of a stab at radio-friendly pop stardom - all in-your-face rave revivalism, fey vocals and chunky knitwear. As usual with major label-related releases, there's a formidable, all-star remix package. Said package is headlined by Mixmag faves Eats Everything, whose sub-heavy workout is so "now" it barely exists. The best version, though, comes from John Talabot, whose woozy, dream-like deep house take is nothing short of sublime.
