American breakbeat outfit S&D are no strangers to mangling and morphing genres but on this latest release on Kick It, they go for straight-up supercharged breaks all the way. "Tribute To Jack" brings in the block-rumbling drums, dirty bass and cut-up vocal hooks and mixes them perfectly along with some huge, proggy tech-chords dropped liberally through the tune. DJ Exodus & ReepR keep things a little more slimmed-down and house-shaped on their excellent revisit, while Johnny Dangerously's "Kush" mix is perfect for breaks fans who are partial to a little dubstep fire mixed into their sets.Get new release alerts
