A great discovery offered by British label Simply Deep on the occasion of their ninth outing, managed by Aerotonin and Opus. They call in Usurp The Throne, who makes his first recording here with an excellent original entitled "Proper Tings". The release of the EP reveals a producer whose style is already very strong, composing at a tempo as close to grime as it is to footwork and trap and perfectly marrying the halftime tendencies of all. Remixes come from Ether: who takes the track into deep dubstep territory, Imanzi who turns it into a frantic junglist stepper and Aranha - who turns it into an evocative bass-driven roller.Get new release alerts
