Having slipped out a 7" earlier in the year, Wolf Music unveils the self-titled debut album from North Rhine-Westphalia project Velour! Combining contemporary electronic jazz with strokes of lo-fi indie and rough beat-making experimentalism in tracks like "Tom's Garage", Velour's ambient and folkloric splendour can be explored all the more in "Among The Popular Attractions". With strong elements of songwriting to be found inside the band's sound, Velour's style can easily be described as a warm, dreamy and moody that lifts some of its notes from Detroit house and sub-pop to lounge-time blues or the free flowing techno-jazz and rave sessions of "Luminate".
