Even Viken Arman's most club-ready cuts tend towards the sun-kissed and Balearic, so you'd expect this mini album excursion to be on the horizontal side of the sound spectrum. Certainly, there's a "drowsy afternoon in the sun" feel to the acoustic guitars, dewy-eyed vocals and slow-house grooves of "Believe" and more up-tempo - but no less hazy - "Aragatz", in which the producer makes merry with cascading sax lines and flamenco style motifs. The most Balearic thing on the set, though, is undoubtedly Nicola Cruz's brilliant remix of "Believe", which sees the lauded producer wrap quietly contemplative electronics and delay-laden guitar samples around a hand percussion-rich groove. The other two remixes of that track, from DOP and Acid Pauli, drag it further towards trippy, late night dancefloor territory.
