It's been nine years since Vincenzo released his much-checked debut album. In that time, he seems to have had a kind of crisis of confidence, because Wherever I Lay My Head is a distinctly different beast to debut Welcome To Zanarkand. For starters, it's distinctly less dancefloor-focussed, instead offering a home stereo-friendly take on deep house that sleepily ambles between weary positivity and sparkling melodic intent. It's a formula that largely hits the mark, offering a somewhat epic mix of gorgeously sunny grooves and melancholic shufflers.
