Review

East European re-editor extraordinaire V (for Valique) returns to Vehicle with three more reworks of vintage nuggets. First to get the treatment is Sly & The Family Stone classic 'Everyday People', now reinvented as Fly & Stamily Stone's 'Sunshine People'. The sources for the other two are a little more obscure: we're guessing, as it's credited to June Night, that 'Boy, You Ain't Nothing' comes from Jean 'Mr Big Stuff' Knight, particularly as it's another cut that challenges an over-inflated male ego; as for Easy Flowing's 'Doing It Again', your guess is as good as ours but it's a solid slab of early 80s-sounding funk/boogie all the same.
