This is young Glaswegian duo Dam Mantle's third EP, which will be hailed by a deluge of online chatter. Hyperbole aside, it's clear to see this pair are a talented couple of herberts with a knack for making an addictive tune. There's no shortage of surprises across this EP, as flirts between synthesized machinations and organic sources vie for your attention while integrating seamlessly. It's hard to avoid a comparison to Mount Kimbie, however where Kimbie are fluttery and fragile, Dam Mantle have a solidity to their sound which should see them win over hearts and minds on an almost instantaneous level. Recommended.
