Review
Instrumental deep house from the soulful/jazzy end of the spectrum is the overall MO on this four-tracker from Berlin's Westcoast Goddess. Opener 'Satisfaction & Clarity' centres around pulsing synth chords and dense strings, 'Soul Out Of Time' is a midtempo affair with tinkling keys shining out over multiple layers of percussion, 'Open Heart' is lighter and airier, marrying Jersey-style organ chords to some fine jazz-funk meanderings on guitar and keys, while finally 'In Search Of Darryl P' comes on like early 80s boogie's darker cousin. The production's a little on the busy side but these are four solid tracks all the same.Get new release alerts
