Review

Emerging through labels like Freerange, Let's Play House to Bordello A Parigi and Hell Yeah Recordings, Russian producer Kito Jempere in 2020 has launched his own self-titled label! Yet Another Kito Jempere Album in fact only presents a third album in nearly a decade-long career which, with the help of Emotional Response, helps establish his new platform following a split release with Hard Ton and Noteless earlier this year. Taking in collaborations from the likes of Jimi Tenor, Wolfram, Hard Ton, Lipelis, Rich Thair (Red Snapper), Ruf Dug, Cedric Gasaida (Azari & III), Kito Jempere sends in a 14-track large album that is as experimental ("Netfex") as much as it is balearic ("After The Storm") as it is electro ("Time Traveller") or free jazz, acoustic and sample-based ("WSI"). A truly eclectic record that touches on all matter of pop-tinged and electronic genres, Kito Jempere's sound is purely his own and ready for the taking.
