Originally, the tracks on this expansive full-length by Dutch turntablist-turned-producer DJ Mace were all released as separate EPs under the Fremdkunst pseudonym. It's perhaps surprising, then, that they sit together so well as an album. With a multitude of guests and collaborators in tow, Mace lays down tracks that meld jazz, hip-hop and soul with blunted beats, smoky chords and atmospheric melodies. In the old days, it would have been called trip-hop, but that's perhaps a dirty word nowadays. Either way, if you like your beats crackly, slow, atmospheric and peppered with jazz horns, it's well worth a listen.
What is Album Only?
Some artists and labels prefer certain tracks to be purchased as part of an entire release. These tracks cannot be purchased individually but are available to download as part of the release
